COG Velo in the News!
Big well done to Russell and Ben who took part in Saturdays Dundee and District Hill climb championships. Highest place was Russell being on the podium for 3 and Ben not to far behind picking up 9th place. Amazing effort guys!

New Kit 2013 – endura
Here are ideas for 2013 kit.
Here is a catalogue from Endura, who seem to offer reasonable price:quality ratio. – http://www.endura.co.uk/Dept.aspx?dept_id=207
Options are:
basic jersey/shorts – £36/£40 probably similar to what we have already, can have any design/colour
pro jersey/shorts – £59/£55 better quality, more ‘race’ fit, better chamois etc, shorts need to have black centre
equipe jersey/shorts – £75/£99 not much that I can see over pro to justify cost + less customisable in terms of design (?)
windtex pro gilet (£38)
Other options are long sleeve, winter tops and anything else from boot covers to bags to arm warmers.

Tour of Britain – photos
Some photos from Stage 3 of the Tour of Britain.
Cavendish was on fire and did not disappoint, he retained his Dumfries title from last year.
Grantown on Spey try Tri
Kirsty, Claire, Jen, Arlene and Emma did the Grantown on Spey try tri last weekend (09/09/2012) and scored a great success. All set pb’s and Kirsty and Emma (sisters) were 1st and 3rd in category. A first win for COG Velo!
All were in the top ten – great effort girls. Group photo!

Bealach Plan B – COG Cairngorm 120
Turned out to be a good route with a few tough climbs too! Weather was fine apart from the cuffing wind which got worse as the day progressed and was constantly in our faces going up Tomintoul over Lecht road.
The highlight of the day was a chance meeting with Billy Connolly in Ballater – see photos.

Bealach Mor – will be very wet!
I’m sure you have all read the email by now weather will be very wet and 50-70 mph winds. Hands on events havea suggested still come as planned, however they may cancel the event completely if the weather is too bad!
