COG Ride 30th May

COG Velo Club RideOne of our biggest turn outs so far on a club night! I counted 13 riders at the beginning and by the end we were 14, very impressive. Good pace last night and some fast times going up the hills – well done. Great night for it, sun was out and the wind was fine to which makes a change. And only 1 puncture last night for poor Nick (see photo).

How to join Carse of Gowrie Velo

How to join our friendly cycling club in the Carse of Gowrie.
Carse of Gowrie Velo are an affiliated British Cycling federation club.

We advise anyone interested in taking the leap in joining a cycling club. To first come along and give it a go. Our club rides are every Thursday evening at 6.30pm from Inchture Hotel. This will give you an idea of what it’s like to ride in our group and see the ability/pace of our club.

We vary our routes but generally we cover 30-50km on our short rides and on the 3rd Thursday of every month we go for a long ride about 80km. More information can be found on our Club Rides page.

COG Ride 18th April

Great turn out for thursday’s club ride, one of our biggest so far 11 bodies. The route took us up to Murthly – Meiklour then a Figure of 8 and back to Inchture Hotel. A few KOM’s on the way nice one Brian and the mandatory sprint to the 30mph signs which I think Ben was our points winner for the evening.

COG Ride 11th April

Great turn out last night of 8 riders, Chris, Jay, Brian, Russell, Ali, Pete, Steph and Nick. We opted for a blast along to St Madoes and up Glen Carse and Kilspindie so it was a good session.Colder on the higher ground and longer nights so more daylight – bonus! A few competitive sprints for the 30 sign – which was good.
