Eventful race in the sand at Irvine Beach today. I finished 52nd, but a last lap crash meant I had to run the last 700m (I knew that running practice would come in handy eventually!), which cost me at least a dozen places. Broken brake lever, rear mech & punctured tub.
Not so good. We hope you get your bike sorted for your next race mate.
Another night where we had road (8 bodies) and off-road (5 bodies) action. Road loop was up Knapp to Tullybaccart then back round to Abernyte and finishing at Inchture. Off-road was up and down Kinnoull hill in the darkness – great fun! Weather was very cold but good turn out all the same for both. I must say the Moon was awesome!
Good turn out for a cold night in the Carse. 7 brave souls venturing up Kinaird out to Collace then over to Errol and back to Inchture. Wind was mostly in our face going out well Pedro’s and a gentle push on our return leg.
Well done for Ali’s unstoppable appetite for cyclocross this time he was in Inverness at Knockburn Loch. He faced a very tough course featuring lots of singletrack climbing, with very steep run up and slippery slopes of the Loch, and circling the bridge.
Full of highs and lows last night. Good turn out for a rather wet and horrible evening. Unfortunately Chris and Russell both had punctures last night at Abernyte.
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Ben
But on the plus side we had a fantastic time at Ben’s Birthday / Halloween Party. Jen made a super chilli and the beers were gratefully received, thank you for the hospitality.
The Birthday cake especially made by Kirsty was awesome!
Well done to both Ben and Russell for putting themselves through the tough Muckmedden Enduro. It looked like great fun from the photographs and I’m sure there will one or two stories from this great event in the Fiar City, Perth.
Ben had an altrication with a tree but both Ben and bike are fine – which is good 😉
And for the most important cyclists the Kids!
It was great to see so many kids whizzing around the kids course with 8 COG sprogs taking part. There was much to celebrate with Stu winning 4-7 year olds category and Alex coming in a close 3rd – Superb!
It turned out to be a fantastic day for a ride, pictures look great. Plenty of riders (9 in total) seizing the opportunity to catch one of the last few days of nice weather to cycle through fife – can’t beat it!
