Not many riders out tonight but still 2 disciplines covered with the AWC (All Weather Crew) heading up to Coupar Angus, Newtyle and back to Inchture. While the off-road duo tackling Kinnoull Hill.
Dont forget this Sunday (15th December) is the COG Christmas Caper!
Hope to see plenty of people dressing up and pimping their bikes…
Departing the car park outside inchture primary school at 9:30am (ish) we will ride mostly off road until we return at lunchtime for soup and a bacon roll at our house next to the car park.
The unique format will be ‘strava enduro’ 5 timed segments will be linked by social transitions. You will need a bike that you can ride off road and although there won’t be any technical single track it will get a bit bumpy.
Prizes for the stages plus best dressed and best dressed bike.
COG road ride with unfortunate punctures. Handful of riders out with some Dundee Thistle folk joining us which was nice. A relatively short ride with a couple of hills Kilspindie and Rait then returning to Inchture.
Another night where we had road (8 bodies) and off-road (5 bodies) action. Road loop was up Knapp to Tullybaccart then back round to Abernyte and finishing at Inchture. Off-road was up and down Kinnoull hill in the darkness – great fun! Weather was very cold but good turn out all the same for both. I must say the Moon was awesome!
Good turn out for a cold night in the Carse. 7 brave souls venturing up Kinaird out to Collace then over to Errol and back to Inchture. Wind was mostly in our face going out well Pedro’s and a gentle push on our return leg.
The 1st COG Velo AGM will be held in the Inchture village hall at 7pm on Thursday 5th December.
Location: Inchture village hall
Date: 5th December 2013
Time: 7pm – 8.30pm
A chairman’s report and agenda will be sent out beforehand. It would be great to see as many of COGs 43(!) members there as possible. I’m sure some will go on the hotel for refreshments afterwards as well…
Cold and wet Cog ride last night, brave guys last night, Rule #5 was definately in play. And for those who weren’t out one word slackers! Jamie and Nick opted for more rain and pain than others with an extra loop – well done chaps.
Inchture > Abernyte > Collace > Lang Glen >Inchture
Looks like the wonderful weather is finally coming to an end… Very wet and windy Cog ride numbers slightly dwindled with 6 strong battling the elements. Also a new rider joining us – welcome Frances nice having you along.
Well our longer ride to Dunning was discounted and we opted to do a loop from Inchture to Newtyle and return to Inchture. Weather was fine considering it rained all day, but the roads were very slippy. It did get dark around 8pm so lights are essential from now on.
‘It seems we are going through a nasty patch of incidents lately with another punture!’
