The COG trio (Pete,Pedro & Steve) opted for a leisurely spin around the Tay, well leisurely for Pedro at pace for most other people 😉 Well done guys good miles for this time of year and considering it was snowing the day before in Perth.

It is the 3rd Thursday of the month so the usual plan is to have a longer ride either a Dunkeld Dash or Tour de Tay.
However as we are riding an epic 150 miles on Saturday, tomorrow evening will be a loop up to Craigowl and back to Inchture still about 40 miles. Weather looks great to!

Tour de Tay
Good turn out with 9 riders up for the Tour de Tay last night, with 2 new riders along for the ride (Nick & Jamie). Well done guys it certainly was not a slow pace last night hope you are not too sore today! Weather was a cold evening and the wind was at times unpleasant, however we battled through and had an enjoyable ride through Perthshire and Fife.
Route: Inchture > Rait > Scone > Perth > Bridge of Earn > Abernethy > Newburgh > Gauldry > Wormit > Newport-on-Tay > Dundee > Invergowrie > Inchture

We will be doing a Tour de Tay this Thursday 23rd May 2013. Usually a clockwise trip to Dundee over Tay road bridge through Wormit – Newport – Newburgh – Perth over to Carse of Gowrie and finish up at Inchture Hotel. Hope to see a big turn out this week, many coggers returning from a cycling break in Majorca with good miles in their legs.(Lucky chaps!) Any questions or suggestions then please discuss in our forum.
We will meet at the usual place Inchture Hotel 6.30pm
Please note for any new comers this can take 3hours or more to complete the 52miles so you may want to remember warm clothes, food and lights.

Carse of Gowrie Velo are heading to Fife this Saturday if anyone is interested… you are more than welcome. We will be meeting at the car park on the Fife side of the tay bridge at 9am. See our planned route below, it should be around 70 miles not huge climbs more like rolling hills and a steady pace.

Crazy trio of Ben, David and Chris – on a very cold and windy ride Tay loop (tour de Tay) clockwise. Wind in our faces most of the journey and icy roads to contend with on higher ground – not ideal for road bikes! David can vouch for this as he planted into the snow just past Gauldry, he is ok though.
See the photographs.
